Anyways, there are many types of annoying players in Guild Wars; Ragequitters, Run and Heal Me's, etc. Which to you are the most annoying?
For me, I have 2 that come to mind:
1: Players who, like stated above, run way ahead of the group or way out of your or another monk's compass bubble only to be killed or nearly be killed without healing, and then proceed to make it their job to yell at you like you just murdered their dog. Absolutely annoying.
2: The AB Gloaters. I'm not a spoil sport, and I have nothing but respect for players who can beat me in PvP events, but sometimes in Alliance Battles people just push it too far. I cannot stand when I engage an enemy, usually by themselves, and they end up killing me only to gloat or say things like "NOOB" when a monk has clearly run from nowhere to come and heal their sorry ass. And it's not just when they get backup healing, it's also when other come running and join in the fight to kill you. It's like the person you originally engaged is totally oblivious to the fact that they would not have killed you had they not received healing from a generous monk, or support from a nice group of allies.
What other specific kinds of people are there you just can't stand, no matter how much of a calm person you are?
|
methinks you're trying to explain why that guy killed you in AB just a little too hard . it is a team game you know, and if hes smart enough to fight you while you're alone and he has a monk nearby, he beat you because he played better than you.
i also don't really understand why somebody who seems to fancy himself "a calm person" would make a rage thread
my least favorite people in guild wars, and in life, are those who take things seriously, as if anything that anyone could ever do would matter in some way.

Guilty!
There is a lot of negativity in Guild Wars today over very petty things. One of my favorite guilds is missing its old core group of positive reinforcement and is chewing itself apart--this makes me sad. I had to get away from the influence.
I have been guild jumping often lately to find my old friends and become comfortable again. It's too bad about those that quit.
Found a nice home with Clan Dethrhyche [dth]. The people seem pretty relaxed about everything, though some are kinda jaded. Lots of 30 title people; their attitude is understandable. I think I'm done guild jumping for a while.

Epeen players. The players that think that titles take skill or their FOW matters.
Honestly GWAMM takes a few months if your serious about it... Who doesn't have it by now?

2 examples of the people that grind my gears.
Me: GLF Monk for Shrine Capping!
*looks at party window being flooded with invites from dervishes, rangers.*
Me: /facepalm
WTF? If I say GLF Monk, I don't want Rangers and Dervishes.
Me: LF Runner for Rrangrar's PM Price.
*You have received an invitation from Player Xyz*
*accept**Taken to diff. District*
Me: Hi.
Player Xyz: Hello.
Me: So, what build are you runningthe dungeon with?
Player Xyz: Oh, I'm not running.
WTF? D:
EDIT: I just had it happen again! xD
I was in doomlore dist 1 looking for a run besides CoF. So I hit P and saw this group that said in it's description: "LFP 6/8 Running Raven's Dungeon". So I was interested and sent an invite. Rejected. Hmm, okay, maybe they just hit the wrong button. To make sure I send them one more invite. Fig' if they don't accept this one, so be it. Turns out, I get accepted but as soon as I get in, I see someone type, "Kick him." A bit surprised, I asked, "Hiya, aren't you guys running Raven's Dungeon?" They go, "No, we're fighting." /facepalm as I get kicked.

1. People who think you are completely hopeless at PvP because you arn't even Hero rank 1. Even though I have builds that can tear apart HA teams in the meta.
2. AB gloaters. They gloat at the beginning and get owned by yours truly, then accuse me of cheating or some other stupid thing of the sort.
3. The people who, the moment promoted to officer, boot everyone in the guild and leave...happened 3 times so far, 3 great guilds, never pulled back together. Waste of around 16k total for invites to every booted player.

If you did, you wouldn't be unranked.

Mostly just people who join a guild, and leave under a week later, for either no reason, or a bad reason. For example, not being allowed into a gvg match when we've never seen them in pvp before and without practicing in a skirmish or smurf guild.
And rspike teams, them too. Just annoying since they're so common and not that easy to beat with a balanced build. Or rather, not too easy when they're good, bad spike teams are just annoying.

Sometimes, people don't understand that they've just been invited into an established team, and either want to run the show or do their own thing. It's a little annoying to have the new guy arguing with the strat caller when they are drawing on the compass.
Now, really, this is mostly just an AB thing, and I'm a pretty good dude about this sort of thing. I just drop the offending member after a match and don't raise too much of a fuss over it.
That player is going to work himself up into a ragequit, and I don't want to see it.

Those who believe that by paying for this game they are given rights to hack, bot, glitch or simply destroy an enjoyable experience for those that want to have fun.
And the rude people that when asked politely a question about the game ignore you or take it as an opportunity to insult you. Examples: When you see them chatting and using a game term you dont know.
